Last nights episode of Raw was interesting, to say the least. If you missed Raw, you really missed out on it. The show started with an emotional speech and action from one of Raw's champions.
Raw started off with Roman Reigns. We expected him to do his typical 'Big Dog' speech since he is Universal Champion. But, it was something different. Roman Reigns relinquished his Universal Championship because he is now starting his battle with Leukemia. Many people were shocked and sad about this speech. But Roman made a promise; this promise was that he was going to kick Leukemia's ass again and once he was finished, he's coming home.
Many superstars and people from the WWE universe spoke out on Twitter with the hashtag #ThankYouRoman some of the superstars wrote:
"You're in our thoughts and prayers Joe. You are our Superman! Forever and always! You have an army people standing behind you ready to support and fight with you! N" - Nikki Bella via Twitter.
"A warrior, through and through. @WWERomanReigns, your entire #WWE family stands with you. #ThankYouRoman." - Vince McMahon via Twitter.
So many more WWE Superstars spoke out to let Roman Reigns know that they love him and fully support him.
WWE Acting General Manager Baron Corbin and Stephanie McMahon spoke about what was going to happen with the original Triple Threat Match at Crown Jewel between Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. Their decision was to make the match a regular match between Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar. The winner will be the New Universal Champion. To the referee for that match should get time and a half pay for that match alone. Who knows what kind of destruction those two will create. They will stop at nothing to get that title and completely destroy the other.
Raw was also full of surprises. Finn Balor and Bobby Lashley (w/ the man of the hour Lio Rush in his corner) had a match together. Now, a lot of people thought that the man who looks like money, smells like money and is money Bobby Lashley was going to dominate The Extraordinary Man Who Does Extraordinary Things Finn Balor. But you should never doubt the power and speed of Finn Balor, because he picked up the win over Bobby Lashley. But of course, Bobby wasn't pleased he got beat by someone "smaller" than him. The moral of this match is to not judge someone on their size. Bobby may demand a rematch against Finn Balor, but who knows? Maybe Bobby will try to redeem himself with another Superstar.
Things tense up between The Riott Squad and Sasha Banks, Natalya, and Bayley as Ruby Riott faced off against Sasha Banks. But Ruby did get the help of her sisters-in-arms Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan. But with WWE Evolution just around the corner (coming this Sunday) these women will face off in a six women tag team match. The Riott Squad versus Natalya, Sasha Banks and Bayley. Will the Hart-Hugs Connection (Natalya, Sasha and Bayley) get a victory over The Riott Squad? Hopefully they will have their pawz out, clawz out for this match on Sunday.
The Brothers of Destruction are ready to bury D-Generation-X after their victory over them at Crown Jewel. But DX don't seem to be taking the Brothers of Destruction seriously. But they surely aren't afraid of The Brothers of Destruction. The Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels and The Game Triple H are ready for their match at Crown Jewel.
But the Brothers of Destruction had one last (or maybe not?) message for DX. They stopped DX's response to them through the TitanTron. They were in a graveyard. The speech they gave DX was:
"Pride goes before destruction and arrogance precedes the fall. Your arrogance will be the vessel of your total annihilation."
The Brothers of Destruction showed DX their standing stones and promised they would never rest in peace. Total hell is going to be loose during this match. At this point, the match between D-Generation-X and The Brothers of Destruction is going to be just as crazy as the match between Braun Stroman and Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel.
Later on in the night, Brock Lesnar's advocate Paul Heyman, first started talking well about Roman Reigns carried the title and how great of he a wrestler he was with the Universal Championship. He then talked about how Brock Lesnar would bring a great name to the Universal Championship once he won it at Crown Jewel. But Paul's lecture about Brock Lesnar was stopped by Braun Stroman. Braun came out and had a few words with Paul Heyman. But that was shortly lived as Drew McIntyre gave Strowman a claymore kick. He kept his promise of his "monster hunting" to Dolph.
Apollo Crews took the fight to Elias. The two gave each other a hard fight, but Apollo fell short against Elias once he hit Apollo with the Drift Away. After the match, Elias had a perfect time to take back his spotlight that Apollo Crews stole. He set up on the Raw stage to continue the concert that was interrupted earlier. But Acting General Manager Baron Corbin came out and stopped his performance by cutting out his mic, forcing him to leave. But as we all know, Elias takes his performances seriously. Baron Corbin angered Elias so much that he hit Baron in the back with his guitar, causing Corbin to fall in pain. Would you really expect Elias to just walk away?
The contract signing between Nikki Bella and the Raw's Women Champion was intense. Nikki tried to get her payback against Ronda for the personal insult Ronda gave her last week on RAW. To sum up Nikki's insults in a nutshell, she disrespected her mother by saying she would be ashamed of Ronda's mixed-martial arts losses and it would only get worse when Ronda loses to a so-called "Diva." After Nikki was finished with the insults, she slapped Ronda across the face then signed the contract. Instead of kicking Nikki's ass right then and there, Ronda composed herself and gave Nikki one final message to her, with a massive smile on her face:
"Come this Sunday, I will end you. I give you my word."
The fatal-4-way between Dana Brooke, Nia Jax, Tamina and Ember Moon, it was crazy. These four women will also be in the Battle Royal at WWE Evolution on Sunday, so there was no doubt these four women want to prove that they would win the Battle Royal. But out of all the women in the match, Ember Moon stood tall against the other three women. She dropped the Eclipse to Tamina to get the win. But that victory will be much easier than winning the Batlle Royal with many more women competing in that match.
Titus O'Neill introduced six breast cancer survivors to the WWE Universe, as it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. He was proud to introduce the six strong women on the stage as some of the women in his family had breast cancer.
The main event was a tag team action for the Raw Tag-Team Championship titles. Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler against two-thirds of The Shield (Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose)
The match was great. Roman's brothers-in-arms paid tribute to him as they came out in The Shield gear and entrance. They picked up the win for him. But Raw didn't end in a happy ending. Once the match was finished, Dean went straight to work and attacked his brother Seth Rollins out of nowhere after winning the titles. Dean's actions shocked a lot of people but didn't at the same time. A lot of people figured that something like this was going to happen, but people didn't expect it would happen right after winning the titles and having Roman go on a leave to deal with his illness.
Will SmackDown Live be just as good as Raw was last night?
